About a month ago, I travelled to Japan with a few close friends for two weeks. We visited Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. All three cities were amazing and each had a different atmosphere, but the city that truly captured my heart was Kyoto.
Amanda Perumal is a Toronto-based textile designer and the artisan behind Contrabotanic, a collection of handmade, felt succulents. We spoke to Amanda about studying Material Art & Design at OCADU, life after art school, and how she turned her craft into a small-business.
